We’re hiring! Part time Events Executive role.

The Guild is looking for a new team member to run and develop our exciting event programme. Do you know anyone with events experience that might enjoy this part time position?

Job Title: Events Executive – Part Time 10 Month FTC from August 2023 with potential for permanent role
Work Location: This is a work from home position (remote working). From time to time this might include visits to the office at Pinewood Studios, and at event locations as required.
Hours of Work: Part Time/20 Hours p/w (Note that our working week is Monday to Friday 9am-5pm & some evening & weekend work will be required).
Salary: £16.83 p/h
Benefits: Company laptop, mobile telephone and pension.

Job Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to administer the annual Guild event programme. This ranges from virtual events to in-person training and networking meetings, to our annual Awards Gala which is now in its 13th year.

The Events Executive will be responsible for the end-to-end operations for all Guild events, including managing budgets, contracting, ticketing, liaising with speakers and suppliers, ordering catering and setting out AV requirements, managing events (virtual and in-person) and carrying out post-event feedback or analysis as required. You will also be responsible for administering the Guild Events Committee.

Event Schedule:
The Guild event schedule currently includes:
● Virtual
○ 1 x Event Committee meeting per month (PM)
○ 2 x Virtual events per month (PM)
● In Person
○ 1 x AGM event a year (weekend)
○ 1 x Awards event a year (weekend)
○ 2/3 x Additional networking events a year

As we are looking to grow our event programme this schedule could change.

Person Specification:
● Minimum 3 years experience within a busy events role.
● Experience of running virtual and in person events required.
● Fluent in written and spoken English to professional business standards.
● Proven effective experience of coordination and running of events.
● Experience of drafting budgets and monitoring and keeping expenditure to within budget.
● Ability to complete detailed work accurately.
● Ability to work independently with a proactive nature.
● Experience of using a computer database and CRM functionality.
● Experience of working with stakeholders of varying seniority.
● An understanding of the TV and Film Industry and the Art Department would be advantageous but not essential.
