All of the productions were released in the UK (from 1st January 2023 to midnight on 31st December 2023 based on data from IMDB and UK general release dates (release can mean theatrical or streamed / on-demand broadcast including festival screenings.)
Each entry is accompanied by the following supporting assets: a still image that best represents the work on the production; a piece of artwork from the production, this can be either be a set drawing, concept drawing or graphic; the trailer for the production and a supporting presentation.
The exceptions to this are for the following categories:
The Peter Lamont Award – Spotlighting New Talent (supported by Warner Bros Studios, Leavesden)
– entries are accompanied by a still image and a piece of artwork.
Short Film
– Entries are accompanied by a still image, a piece of artwork and a trailer for you to view only.
The first round of voting on this award will be carried out by a specialist committee of BFDG members. The membership will then be asked to vote on the final winner.
Outstanding Contribution to the Art Department
– This category is voted on and agreed by the BFDG committee
Lifetime Achievement
– This category is voted on and agreed by the BFDG committee.
Planet Positive Award
– All entries will be reviewed and judged by a panel of sustainability professionals working in film, TV including representatives from BENlabs, We Are Albert and members of the BFDG core committee.
The winners from each category will be announced at our awards ceremony which takes place on Saturday 24 February 2024 at The Londoner, London WC1.
