BRITISH FILM DESIGNERS GUILD

The original Society of British Film Directors and Designers was founded in 1946.  Out of this society grew the Guild of Film Art Directors, and the present British Film Designers Guild (BFDG). Our Guild was formed with the aim of raising the standards and profile of the Art Department and protecting the interests of its members.

Today, the BFDG is a flourishing community and we have over 520 accredited memberships of skilled technicians and designers, spanning the various branches of the Art Department in Film and Television.

We offer our members a range of benefits including the opportunity to promote themselves and their work,  networking events (which includes workshops and informative Q & A sessions), screenings, accident insurance, work availability information, industry news and the highlight of the year, our annual awards which celebrates our members’ talents.

Member Directory

All our members are categorised by ability so you can easily cross reference their skills. Every single individual is a talented technician as we have strict entry requirements, so you can have the confidence of working with an accredited member.

Our membership covers a diverse range of skills and experience.
Spanning project budgets for international, independent and micro financed productions in both film & television
