Aviation Filming started from its grass roots all the way back in 1979 by Mike Woodley. Today, some 45 years later, we continue to strive in supplying the best aviation solutions possible including: supplying aircraft and studio mock ups, set builds and dressing, props, airport locations and aviation themed consultancy.
We frequently work as an extension to Art Departments. On projects that have an overwhelming amount of aviation content, we are happy to run the aerial department and take pressure off Production and Art (turn key solution). Set Dressing and props are our best friends, as well as VFX, SFX, picture vehicles and stunt coordinators.
We have a number of aircraft sets and mock-ups available and ready to film on, many of which are gimble friendly. Our aircraft list includes: Boeing 747 (x3), Boeing 737, Private Jet, military and civil helicopters including Blackhawks, a Chinook, an Mi-8, an Explorer and an MD500 (to name but a few). We can also fabricate bespoke interactive aircraft mock ups, advise on aviation content in scripts and even teach cast members how to ‘studio pilot’ their aircraft!
Our credit list is diverse and spans from student films via the NFTS, all the way up to the Bond franchise and Marvel Universe. Some big screen highlights include Spectre, Black Widow, Catch 22, Darkest Hour, Jurassic World, Batman and many TV shows such as Gangs of London, 3 Body problem and Paris has Fallen.
