The Planet Positive Award – Developing Sustainable Practice in the Art Department

In this episode of WIP, Mark Kermode is in conversation with the supporters of the BFDG’s Planet Positive Award from Sky Studios Elstree: Managing Director, Noel Tovey and VP of Business & Strategy, Sophie Owen-Jones.

They talk about Sky Elstree’s commitment to sustainability in the film industry and how it is implemented at their studios. Mark then talks to two of the Planet Positive Award nominees – Elwira Pluta for ‘Sløborn’, Zsofia Szemeredy for ‘Hijack’ and Michael Ralph, Production Designer for the winning production, ‘Good Omens II’, about the developing landscape of sustainability within the Art Department and how they are managing to integrate the use of sustainable practices into the designing and construction of sets.
