I trained in fine art and came to film making through theater and scenic painting ,I ran my own Prop making company from 1989 until 1993, undertaking large museum build projects at the imperial war museum,the Natural History Museum and the Greenwhich Maritime museum where exhibits can still be seen. 

I moved into film at the end of 1993, working as An Art director and Supervising SFX technician on Pop Promos,Commercials and feature films.

I designed my first feature in1997 and have continued to work as a Production Designer and Supervising Art Director ever since
