Am an experienced art director with film television and theatre experience.Have studied draughting for film with FDI at Pinewood Studios and CAD programmes with the University of the Arts, London and also with FilmCAD Limited.
Have practical construction skills as I have built sets for the Royal Shakespeare Company and for BBC TV. Construction Managers like me as I am able to communicate clearly as I know their trade.
Have art directed high-end television dramas and feature films at home and abroad. Have art directed the underwater sequences for the movie “47 Meters Down: Uncaged”, which had the most underwater screen time of any motion picture. This was mostly shot on “U Stage” at Pinewood Studios.
Am probably best known for being the Art Director on the award-winning ITV Studios period production “Victoria”, for PD Michael Howells. My training in the history of art and architecture at Croydon has proved to be invaluable. I have a very big collection of books on period art and architecture for reference.
My main skill is making the work in the Art Department pleasurable, as this gets the best results and the greatest efficiency. (Why work in the industry, if you are not enjoying it?)
