All my life I have drawn. On scraps of paper, the backs of exercise books, my grandmother's wall (I was very young), and my beloved leather jacket. After school (best forgotten), I did 7 years of training in various art schools and colleges, finally graduating in 1991. In 1995, after painting book and video covers for a few years, I became a concept artist on the film 'The Fifth Element' and have not looked back since. I have worked in historical, modern-day, science fiction, and fantasy genres on projects big and small. Whether it is a medieval table and chair or a 15-mile-long spaceship, I love to get into the mindset of the project. In 2003, I was working as the concept art director on Gerry Anderson's New Captain Scarlet' when I was offered to join the Directing team. It was a truly great experience that I grasped with both hands. I ended up directing 8 episodes working with a true legend, Gerry. I was proud to be awarded the BFDG Outstanding Contribution to the British Art Department in 2021,
