I am an assistant art director/draughtsperson ready to step up to art director given the chance to prove myself and looking for the next opportunity but willing and ready to assist as well.
I had so far worked on a variety of projects, periods and contemporary starting with Bridgerton, where I came on board for season 1 as a lead draughtsperson and continued as an assistant art director on season 2 working with designer, Will Hughes-Jones. And more recently working again for Designer Will Hughes for a marvel project. I had then worked so far as assistant Art director for project for Amazon and Disney and Netflix for production designers such as Miren Maron, Tom Burton, Morgan Kennedy, Niall Moroney and supervisors Lynne Huitson, Elaine Kusmishko, Dom Devine
I primarily work in Vectorworks, 2D as well as 3D. I am also familiar with other drafting programs such as Autocad, Sketchup and Cinema 4d and starting to learn rhino 3d just in case. And the adobe family.
I am a trained architect with my Part 1 and Part II RIBA Diploma. I have previously worked in theatre as well with theatre designers such as Chloe Lamford, as well as within the technical department of the Royal Opera House. Working within theatre design helped me acquire a broader understanding of architectural styles, history and fabrication processes.
I have worked as a scenic painter and scenic carpenter in a theatrical shop in New York for 3 years while completing my MFA in set design under the supervision of Susan Hilferty and Paul Steinberg, this experience enhanced my understanding of the construction process.
My roles in the projects encompassed countless challenges and tasks that I am very proud of.
I helped design numerous sets on sound stages, completed a full set of drawings for a backlot build to budget stage, and eventually drafted another backlot that was constructed.
I surveyed and designed multiple scenery to be fitted on site around London, and south England, enjoying the conversations and collaborations encompassing the different departments to organize such shoots. I also 3d modelled and 3d printed an array of props and embellishments such as urns, candelabras, rosettes, statues etc..
In the latest projects I have been functioning more as a junior art director being responsible for my sets reporting directly to production designer and supervisor and supporting different art directors in need of extra hands.
I am now hoping to further my career by expanding horizons and I feel most definitely ready to step up fully , learning from new projects every time. I thoroughly enjoy the research process and can adapt and learn very quickly and would love the experience to work on a purely fantasy or a classic science fiction film if given the opportunity maybe something with a lot of hidden trap doors.
