Sustainable Film is a consultancy that combines environmental expertise with film production experience.

Our team actively works in partnership with studios, crews and suppliers, cultivating a greater understanding of sustainable practices on set. We find innovative affordable creative solutions, inspiring an appreciation of our planet’s resources. Our aim is to inspire a growing community of producers, designers and crews to embrace environmental responsibility as an everyday practice, without sacrificing the quality of their creative vision.

Founded in 2021, the business has worked on a large number of productions with many of the major studios, including Warner Bros, Amazon, HBO, Universal Pictures, Sony, Skydance and ITV.

In 2022, Sustainable Film launched Roots, a sustainability footprinting and consultancy tool specifically designed for suppliers to the industry. Our easy-to-use platform will measure the carbon footprint of all suppliers, whether you are a prop house, location provider, construction company, costumier, VFX and more.
